The new Flex XC3401VRG Interchangeable Backing Plate System utlises a specially designed gear plate that now allows you to easily switch between a 6 inch backing plate and a 4 inch backing plate.
The main selling point for this system is that you can now run the standard Lake Country 4 inch pads with your XC3401VRG. Previously the 5.5 inch backing plate would allow you to run the 5.5 inch pads or larger with the popular 6.5 inch size the largest with some overhang.
The three piece system works by replacing the factory backing plate with the new gear plate. On this gear plate you can mount either the 4 inch or 6 inch backing plate supplied. To switch between plates you can quickly remove the plate using the wrench provided and replace with the other.
NOTE: This is an aftermarket accessory, manufactured by Lake Country Mfg, USA. It is not an OEM part from Flex Tools, Germany.
