Lake Country's CCS Yellow foam is the most aggressive of the foam cutting pads. Use these pads as a last resport to remove deep scratches and severe oxidation that does not come out with the less aggressive foams.

These aggressive pads will most often require additional polishing to remove any compounding haze or "buffer trails" inflected from the heavy foam.

What Is CCS?

CCS stands for Closed Cell Structure. CCS pads contain a pattern of "dimples" on the face of the pad. These dimples slow the rate of polish absorption which naturally soaks into the pad wasting product. Fresh polish is maintained on the face of the pad, reducing product consumption and increasing working times allowing the user to polish longer before the pad dries out.

A little thinner than the older ones, but still good. After wet sanding hard plastics with 2000-5000grit, I use the rotary buffer to quickly remove those sand marks, then this cutting pad quickly removes the rotary buffer marks, all ready for a lite cut on the orange pad, then final polish stage on white. Very hard cut on paint in a quick pass removes aggressive swirl.
